By accessing or using AI Meta Remover ("Service"), operated through aimetaremover.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Description of Service
AI Meta Remover is a free, client-side web application that allows users to:
- Remove C2PA (Content Credentials) and AI-generated metadata from images
- Edit EXIF and other image metadata
- Add custom metadata such as copyright and author information
- Process images in batch
All processing occurs entirely within your web browser. Images are not uploaded to our servers.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to use the Service:
- To violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
- To infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- To remove metadata from images you do not own or have rights to modify
- For fraudulent purposes or to deceive others about image origins
- To remove content authenticity information for malicious purposes
- To misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created for deceptive purposes
- To circumvent any legal requirements for content labeling in your jurisdiction
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the legal right to modify images you process
- Complying with all applicable laws regarding image modification and metadata
- Any consequences resulting from the use of processed images
- Understanding the legal implications of removing content credentials in your jurisdiction
- Maintaining your own backups of original images before processing
Important: Some jurisdictions may have laws requiring disclosure of AI-generated content. It is your responsibility to comply with such laws.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Service's source code without permission
- Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
- Create derivative works based on the Service without permission
You retain all rights to your images. We make no claim of ownership over images you process.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- All metadata will be completely removed from processed images
- Processed images will be suitable for any particular purpose
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Legal consequences arising from image modification
- Damages resulting from incomplete metadata removal
- Any third-party claims related to your use of processed images
- Service interruption or data loss
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you for the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Meta Remover, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of a third party.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. Since all processing is client-side and we do not maintain user accounts, termination would typically involve blocking access to the website.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AI Meta Remover regarding your use of the Service.
